Welcome to 6S with Miss Singleton and Mrs Newstead
There are 22 children in 6S and each day we learn, laugh and work together to achieve more. Each morning we are joined by our friends from 5J, taking our class to 28 children. Everything we do, we do with a smile on our face and bundles of laughter. We like to make learning fun!
Our classroom is filled with bright and colourful display boards, which we love, full of our wonderful work. We know we have a big year ahead so we continue to challenge ourselves daily and persevere, even when things get tough. We CAN do it!
This is our last year to be together at Seaton C of E Junior School and we are sure it will be one of our best!
6S visited Workington Magistrates' Court as part of our British Values work on 'The Rule of the Law' and also our RE topic 'Justice'. Charlotte and David were kind enough to give up their time to talk to us about their roles as magistrates and explain what kinds of cases may end up being dealt with at Workington. We later had the chance to experience a mock trial related to cyber bullying (in a real courtroom!) which we really enjoyed and learnt a lot from.
Our class display to remind us that Christianity is a global religion. The words around the globe are 'Our Father' in many different languages!
