Longshore Drift

As part of our learning about the Coast, we created a beach to learn about the effects of longshore drift. We created our beach out of sand, then we poured water to create the sea. We then used our rulers to create waves. We observed the movement of the sand particles and hypothesized about what the long term effects of the movement would be. The movement of the sand is known as longshore drift.
